For a good laugh I recommend Cregga's questioning of Boorab the hare over the potato and leek turnover, and also Cregga’s wordplay at Mehra’s hastily arranged talent contest. the characters came to life, and some bits made me laugh out loud and weep. it's listed as a children's book, but I’m 42 and still enjoyed it. i found the story very engaging, the story of Tag, aka Deyna, with his spirit still of Redwall, even though he knew nothing of it, plus the trouble at redwall, the grief felt by Filorn and Mehra expertly handled by badger mum Cregga, and how Cregga gets Mehra to stay physically close to her. i wanted to find out what happened to Cregga and had to skip Marlfox as it's not on audible, so went for this book. ![]() I had listened to many of the Redwall books and completed the long patrol. ![]()
